Two Goofy Video Conferencing Tricks

I know a lot of folks are still getting the hang of video conferencing with teams. Here are two silly traditions we’ve used at ioby.

Upsparkles

Sort of like jazz hands or the ASL sign for applause, ioby uses “upsparkles” to indicate celebration, agreement, or excitement and enthusiasm noiselessly. This allows people to show agreement without interrupting and creating EUMAO.

Fist to Five

I’m pretty sure Weishin Huang taught us how to use Fist to Five, a quick decision-making tool to let teams see consensus quickly. I found this explanation of how Fist to Five works from Lucid Meetings.
